A Walk in Your Shoes – Becoming an Oracle Fusion Applications End User and How that can help you
speaker: Debra Lilley
I have always worked for Oracle Implementors (never for Oracle themselves). With the first one, they were EBS users and it was an added advantage to talk about the application from both the implementor and user dimensions. Now I work for Inoapps, an implementor that was one of the first adopters of Fusion Apps. Not a single module, but full Finance and Procurement, PBCS, Core HR, Talent and Recruitment.
This presentation will turn the tables a bit and give an honest appraisal of what I have found and ideas to capture some of that continuous improvement that Fusion delivers. How do the implementors take their user experience into their customer projects?

Logging FluentD-ly – Making logs deliver more value
speaker: Phil Wilkins
Understanding what is happening with applications, particularly in a distributed solution can be challenging. Whilst the solution space for monitoring and application log management is mature, there is a tendency for organizations to end up with multiple tools that overlap in this space to meet different team needs – result multiple agents/probes on every server. Many of these tools work by bulk central analysis rather than enabling events of interest to be spotted as they’re logged. Fluentd presents us with a means to simplify the monitoring landscape, address challenges of hyper-distribution occurring with microservice solutions, allowing different tools needing log data to help in their different way. Without imposing a specific analysis tool on relevant teams.
In this session, we’ll explore the challenges of modern log management. We’ll look at how Fluentd works and what it can bring to making both development and ops activities easier. To do this we’ll explore and demos some examples of Fluentd and how it makes life easier & more efficient. Attendees to the session should leave this session with insights into the art of the possible with Fluentd & insights into Monitoring in general.

Still not mobile? It’s time! Oracle Success Stories in Action
speaker: Mia Urman
In this session, we will drill down into customer stories and live demos of organizations who enabled their EBS systems to mobile/web and even chatbot applications. Learn how easy it can be to leverage the power of Oracle’s next generation tools to get a modernized application look and feel by refacing your back-office EBS applications. We will discuss the lessons learnt and best practices for development. We will review the development tools used, the strategies executed, security and even architecture. As well as present live demos.
Objectives:
Developers will learn an overview of the next generation emerging technologies and how they can bring value to their businesses
Show Oracle applications users that they can extend their existing technology to the cloud without breaking the bank
Learn tips to begin to create your own mobile strategy surrounding EBS

Oracle Tools for Machine Learning
speaker: Heli Helskyaho
Oracle offers several tools for machine learning.
There are several options for in-database machine learning: OML4SQL, OML4R, OML4Py, or OML AutoML.
Or you can connect to Oracle database from your favorite IDE with libraries such as cx_oracle.
You can use Oracle Data Science Cloud, or Oracle Analytics Cloud.
So many different options and so hard to choose the right one!
In this presentation we will talk about these options and discuss which of these might be the best fit for you.
