Andy Rivenes  is a Product Manager at Oracle for Database In-Memory. Prior to that Andy was a Product Manager for Heat Map, Automatic Data Optimization, SecureFiles and DBFS. Andy has spent a large part of his career managing Oracle databases and he now spends his time helping customers implement Database In-Memory as well as providing information about Database In-Memory through blogs, conferences, and customer visits. Christian Gohmann is currently working as Principal Consultant and Instructor at Trivadis Germany GmbH in Dusseldorf, Germany. His main focus lies in helping customers in the areas of architecture planning, implementation, and migration – with a specialization on high availability solutions, like Data Guard, Oracle RAC. Since 2006, Christian Gohmann is working with Oracle and the Oracle Database and was part of a huge amount of different projects for customers in the German-speaking areas. Besides his consultancy activities, he is the main developer and the responsible person for TVD-Backup – a product distributed by Trivadis, which is responsible for the intelligent backup and recovery of an Oracle database. Christopher Jones is a Senior Principal Product Manager working with the Oracle Database Data Access team primarily on APIs for scripting languages including Node.js, Python, PHP and the ODPI-C library for Oracle Database driver writers. He has responsibilities for Oracle Call Interface (OCI) and related Oracle Database APIs; for Oracle Database clients such as Oracle Instant Client; and for general database adoption by developers. He co-released the popular book “The Underground PHP and Oracle Manual” and is the author of a number of technical articles. Christopher has presented at big and small conferences around the world including the O’Reilly Open Source Convention and Oracle OpenWorld.

Connor McDonald is a Database Advocate for Oracle Corporation. Ever being frustrated as a child with the limits imposed by the single kilobyte of RAM in his Sinclair ZX80 computer, he has loved the challenges that come with storing data, which ultimately led to a career in database technology. When the infamous Y2K data issue did not end the world as people thought, he started presenting on his database passions, found that he loved doing it, and has spoken at over 120 conferences around the world since then. Due to his partners predilection for rescuing stray cats, he doesn’t just speak the phrase “as hard as herding cats”, he lives it every day.


Dani Schnider

Dani works as Senior Principal Consultant, trainer and Data Warehouse Lead Architect for Trivadis, a database consulting company in Zurich/Switzerland. Since 1994 he has been working with Oracle databases (version 6 to 19c), since 1997 mainly in Data Warehouse projects. His main focus is architecture, data modeling and physical design of data warehouses, but he also works in development of ETL processes as well as SQL performance tuning.


Daniel Overby Hansen

Daniel is a Senior Principal Product Manager for Cloud Migrations at Oracle. He is part of “Database Upgrade, Patching & Utilities” and thus works with theentire portfolio of the team.

Before joining Oracle, Daniel had a long career as operational database administrator and database developer at a global provider of financial services.

Debra Lilley is an Oracle ACE Director recognised Fusion Applications and Technology expert. She has 25 years experience with Oracle applications and led the global user group input into Fusion Applications. She has been involved in over 100 implementations of Oracle ERP & HCM, advising customers on their application and implementation strategy. She has spoken at over 300 events worldwide.


Erik van Roon is an Oracle Database Developer and Oracle ACE who has worked with Oracle technology since 1995, specializing in, but not limiting to, SQL and PLSQL.
Since 2009 he is self-employed. His company is called EvROCS.
Prior to that he has worked for several consulting companies in the Netherlands.
He has worked on major projects for several clients in industries like entertainment, banking and energy.
Erik has been the technical lead of multiple successful high impact data-migration projects moving and transforming large amounts of data.
He’s been a speaker at several conferences in Europe and the United states.

Fernando Simon

I am Database Architect and DBA specialized in Engineered Systems and MAA environments. Helping customers to design and implement high availability environments using systems like Exadata, ZDLRA, and ZDLRA and features like Data Guard, RAC focusing HA, and MAA.

Working with Oracle since 2004, Exadata since 2010, and ZDLRA since 2014 I am passionate and interested in MAA environments (Data Guard, RAC, Exadata, ZDLRA, Replication, etc) but also correlated areas like resource manager, capacity planning, architecture design, and database troubleshooting.

 Karen Jex

Karen was an Oracle DBA for over 20 years and presented several times at UKOUG special interest group meetings and conferences before moving over to “the dark side” a few years ago. She is now a Senior Database Consultant with EDB, working with PostgreSQL databases. Liron Amitzi Liron is an Oracle ACE Director and a senior Oracle DBA consultant, with more than 20 years of experience. Mike Dietrich is based in Bavaria, Germany and has almost thirty years experience in the information technology industry. He has spent 24 years at Oracle Corporation where he held senior and management roles in both the sales and support  before joining the Oracle’s Database Development organization. For over a decade he is the Distinguished Product Manager for Database Upgrade and Migrations.

Phil Wilkins

Phil has over 25 years in IT with experience of multinationals to software start-ups and consumer organizations. He started as a developer on real-time mi ssion-critical solutions and worked his way through technical and leadership roles primarily in Java environments.

Phil now works for Capgemini UK specializing in cloud integration and API technologies as part of a multi-award-winning PaaS team. Phil’s supports well know national and international brands, as well as supporting the wider team and leading the design authority.

Outside of work, he has contributed to supporting local community websites, input and support to the development of technical books (Packt Publishing, Prentice-Hall, etc) including co-authoring the books on Integration, APIs and now a book on Fluentd for Manning. He has also had articles published in technical journals and an active blogger. Phil is a co-organizer of the London Oracle Developer Meetup. Phil is TOGAF certified and Oracle have recognized his community contributions as an Ace Director.


Philipp Salvisberg is a senior principal consultant, partner and member of the boards of directors at Trivadis and an Oracle ACE. He has been focusing on Oracle database based solutions since 1988. At that time with Oracle Database version 5. Since then, he is helping customers design, build and optimize their database centric solutions, teaching application development topics or speaking at conferences.

Philipp has a soft spot for doing as much as possible in a single SQL statement and is interested in pretty much everything to use the database as efficiently as possible.  Richard Niemiec is the current Chief Innovation/Information Officer of Viscosity North America. He is an Oracle ACE Director, a world renowned IT expert, and was a co-founder and the CEO of TUSC, a Chicago-based systems integrator of Oracle-based business solutions started in 1988. Rich has served as President of Rolta TUSC and Rolta EICT. TUSC was the Oracle Partner of the Year in 2002, 2004, 2007, 2008, 2010, & 2011 (Rolta TUSC). Rich is the past President of the International Oracle Users Group (IOUG) and the current President of the Midwest Oracle Users Group (MOUG).


Rishin Mitra is an Oracle Certified IT professional having 10 years of industry experience in Applications Development. Currently he is working as Senior Oracle Technical Consultant with Version 1. He has got extensive knowledge of working on Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle ERP Cloud, OBIEE and Informatica, and has been involved in development and large-scale global delivery of various projects in products and services. He worked as a Senior Applications Engineer at Oracle and has worked on multiple legislative projects for EMEA as part of the Oracle E-Business Suite Globalization team.

  Ron Ekins is an Oracle ACE Director and certified Cloud and Enterprise Architect with over 30 years Oracle experience in development, database administration and the architecture and delivery of large IS solutions. Ron is an active member of the Oracle community, and regular presenter at technology conferences across the globe.



  Roy Swonger has over three decades of experience in commercial software development. His career at Oracle has included work on software development process and quality improvement as well as a progression of management roles in technical documentation, software development tools, and core database technologies. Roy has managed the Database Upgrade, Patching & Utilities group in the Server Technologies division for more than 15 years. In this capacity he is responsible for the development and product management of database features such as the Database Upgrade, datapatch, Data Pump, SQL*Loader, External Tables, and Transportable Tablespaces. In addition, Roy runs the global Upgrade Program for the database, coordinating worldwide efforts to make database upgrades faster, easier, and less risky for customers. Roy holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Master of Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.


Rustam D. Khodjaev  is a Founder and President of the TAJOUG (Tajikistan Oracle User Group) and CASOUG (Cetral Asia Oracle User Group). Rustam has been working with Oracle technologies since 2005, particularly with Oracle Database and Engineering Systems. He has experience in implementing and administering Oracle databases for Core Banking and for the Processing Center Systems, as well as experience in implementing and administering high-availability information systems (including Oracle Database Standby Servers based on Data Guard) and administering Exadata Database Machines. He has PhD in Computer Science and gives lectures at the two majors technical universities in Tajikistan since 2007 – Tajik Technical University and Branch of Branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University in Dushanbe. His courses at the Universities are: Database, Operating Systems and System Administration. He launched and implemented Oracle Academy in these two universities of Tajikistan. It was first practical implementations of Oracle Academy Education Program in Central Asia. He uses in his lectures and labs materials and tolls from Oracle Academy Program, such as Oracle Autonomous Database and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, SQL Developer, SQL Developer Data Modeler, APEX and presentations.


Rutvik Prajapati

Rutvik has 7+ years of programming experience as an Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle APEX Developer in the analysis, design, and implementation of business applications using the Oracle Relational Database Management System.


Sandesh Rao is a VP running the AIOps Automation for the Autonomous Database Group at Oracle Corporation specializing using AI/ML for different usecases from predicting faults before they happen to Anomaly Detection within log data , metrics data. His previous positions have focused on performance tuning , high availability , disaster recovery and architecting cloud based solutions using the Oracle Stack. With more than 22 years of experience working in the HA space and having worked on several versions of Oracle with different application stacks he is a recognized expert in RAC , Database Internals , PaaS , SaaS and IaaS solutions and solving Big Data related problems . Most of his work involves working with customers in the implementation of public and hybrid cloud projects in the financial , retailing , scientific , insurance , biotech and the tech space. He is also responsible for developing assessments for best practices for the Oracle Grid Infrastructure 19c including products like RAC (Real Application Clusters) , Storage (ASM , ACFS)

Yves Chassein is Vice President Application Development of the PROMATIS Group. He has several years of experience in the realization of complex transactional and analytical add-on functions for Oracle enterprise applications. In addition, he was able to build up comprehensive expertise in the planning and implementation of extensive integration concepts.


Wei Hu is the Senior Vice President of Development for High Availability and Emerging Technologies at Oracle. He leads the development of mission critical database capabilities including Maximum Availability Architecture, Active Data Guard, Sharding, Recovery, RAC Cache Fusion, and Advanced Queuing. Mr. Hu also leads the development of technologies related to Blockchain, Microservices, and Globally Distributed Databases.

Mr. Hu has B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He has been with Oracle since 1998, holds more than 30 patents, and is the author and co-author of several books and papers.

In my career I have proven my ability to solve complex problems, deliver complex projects, be flexible and to positively adapt to changing environments. I find this has provided me with a good grounding for interacting with many different people, at all levels, both in my professional and personal life. I am proud to have attained both Oracle Certified Master (OCM) 11g and Oracle Ace. I am also certified and experienced with Oracle’s Exadata and Database Appliance as well as well versed in Maximum Availability Architecture including Real Application Clusters. My next professional goal is to attain certification in Oracle, Azure and AWS Cloud as well as OCM 12c (when becomes available again).
