Milan is the economic heart of Italy, with its hinterland is one of the largest metropolitan areas in Europe. It grew through a long history where different cultures mixed together to create a brilliant ecosystem with the presence of lots of global excellences in the fields of Finance, Fashion, Industrial Design, University and more. In 2015 Milan was included in the “Top 20 Global Destination Cities” (Mastercard) and it hosted for the second time the International Expo held under the theme “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”.
The IT sector and its technology, of which Oracle is one of the major players, support all those domains of activities.
Some professionals focused on Oracle’s core technologies decided in 2015 to found the Italian Oracle User Group (IT-OUG) to increase networking opportunities and to build an italian speaking community, with the purpose to share knowledge, experiences, impressions about Oracle’s products evolution in connection with the local market. The OTN EMEA tour will be the first “in person” event for IT-OUG and hopefully the starting point of a well interconnected and active community.
