In the heart of Tajikistan lies its capital, Dushanbe. Previously, there was a large bazaar, which operated on Mondays. From here came the name of the city, because from the Tajik language, “Dushanbe” literally means “Monday”.
Today Dushanbe, surrounded by magnificent mountains and stunning nature, is dynamically developing, becoming a modern capital. The city itself is quite young, but it has managed to absorb the Oriental flavor of the region and carefully preserves the traces of the unique Tajik-Persian culture. The architecture of Dushanbe, once neoclassical, transitioned to a minimalist and eventually modern style.
The community of Oracle enthusiasts and professionals began its way in Dushanbe, eventually becoming the official community of Oracle, uniting IT specialists from all countries of the Central Asian region.
Now Central Asia Oracle User Group (CASOUG) regularly holds events in Central Asia (online and offline), during which experts and specialists share their practical experience and tell about new opportunities and effective use of various technologies in the field of IT.
Oracle Community Tours – EMEA 2023 will be another event of this level held in Dushanbe. The events of the tour, which were held in previous years (both online and offline), were remembered by the participants with high level of organization and interesting speakers. And this year CASOUG plans to organize an in-person event at the highest level.
The event will be held on October 12, 2023
