Copenhagen / Denmark

Copenhagen is known for being the city of fairy tales. Reputed to be happiest city in the world, Copenhagen is known for its canals, excellent food, Tivoli Gardens and for once being home to the children’s writer, Hans C Andersen. It is also famous for the Danish language, its community spirit and the beer breweries. Also known for being one of the world’s best cities for cycling. With nine out of ten Danes owning a bicycle, you will see cycling people everywhere. And latest the Copenhageners showed their love when they filled the streets to cheer as the Tour de France had its Grand Départ in Copenhagen.

The charming Centre of Copenhagen is rich on historical buildings. The waterfront hosts both old and new architecture, and many cafes, bars and restaurants to enjoy. And the center is small enough to get around on foot. Travel around in Copenhagen is easy done. Bicycles can easily be rented, or hop on a bus or take the metro. Or get from one end of the waterfront to another using “Havnebussen”, an environment friendly, electric boat serving as a bus with 9 stops along the waterfront.
